Service Description

Site Supervisors and Site Safety Health Representatives (SSHR) in the Queensland Mining Industry need to have the appropriate skills and knowledge to perform their duties. These competencies have been determined by the respective Safety and Health Advisory Committee for these statutory positions at a coal and mineral mine as well as quarries. This course meets the requirements for the position of a Supervisor in the Resources Industry as per s.56 of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and s.51 of the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999. This course covers the following components: RIIRIS301E Apply risk management processes RIIWHS301E Conduct safety and health investigations RIICOM301E Communicate information This competency is valid for 5 years.
